Who Are the Ascended Masters?
Meet the Ascended Masters
The ascended masters are our elder brothers and sisters who have passed all major initiations of the spiritual path and graduated from Earth’s schoolroom, returning by free will to the heart of God through the sacred ritual known as the ascension.¹ They are the saints, teachers and masters of East and West and from all religions and cultures now residing in heaven.
As teachers and guides from higher dimensions, the ascended masters show us the way Home through a pathway that is unique for each person and yet requires a determined self-discipline and balance in our daily lives. Meditation and contemplation as well as the giving of prayers, mantras, decrees²and songs can help us in this process. Balancing our past negative karma through service to those whom we have wronged is also a major key to our victory.
What It Takes to Become an Ascended Master
The ascended masters exemplify the highest qualities of Godhood through their givingness to all life, having mastered the initiations of the seven rays³ throughout many lifetimes of service. Examples of ascended masters whom many may recognize are listed below. If an ascended master is known by more than one name, the more familiar name is listed first with their ascended title following in parentheses:

However, there are also many unsung heroes and heroines of the Spirit, having made their ascension in past and recent decades, who also serve us from heaven. These masters of wisdom teach us that we, too, may return to God in the ascension at the close of this lifetime if we fully utilize our gifts and talents and balance at least fifty-one percent of our karma.
The Ascended Masters Lead the Way
Fulfilling our personal missions through service to life, balancing the flames of love, wisdom and power within our hearts, working on centeredness and living in harmony with all people are also requirements for this ultimate union. The goal of life is oneness with our Source through the ascension. And leading the way to this victory of victories for our souls are the ascended masters by their continuing loving service on our behalf.

1. The ascension is complete liberation from the rounds of karma and rebirth. In the ascension process the soul becomes merged with her Solar Presence, experiencing freedom from the gravitational, or karmic, pull of the earth and an entering into the bliss of the eternal Presence of pure, divine love.
2. Decrees are poetic prayers that affirm the work of God in us and invoke more of God as light energy into our beings. Their rhyming pattern facilitates memorization and repetition. Repetition generates a build-up of this divine energy within our chakras, producing positive change in us and in the world. Decrees are much like the mantras of the East, and their action of light can be more intense than the light which is released through prayer or meditation, depending on the focus, attainment and momentum of the individual offering the decree. 3. The seven rays are the seven qualities of God that compose the color rings or spheres which surround the I AM Presence. (See “The Chart of Your Buddha Nature.”) The attribute of each color or ray is vital to our wholeness. White is the vibration of purity, yellow is wisdom, pink—love, violet—freedom and forgiveness, purple—service to our fellowman, green—healing and abundance, blue—protection, faith and the desire to do God’s will.

Following is an excerpt: “The ascended masters are those who have unlocked the secret of life. They have discerned carefully what is at the core of being, which is God. They have self-regulated, by their acceptance of their true nature, the flow of light and accelerated the frequency of that beingness to a level where they manifest universally and individually in Spirit beyond this plane where you see with physical eyes, beyond this dimension. And only those who have their inner sight quickened may perceive their radiation, their essence, even the image that they have chosen as Self-actualized ones, continuing to evolve in higher planes and dimensions of being.”
